  • Co-Founder, Partner, & Chief Executive Officer

    Miguel most recently served as the Political Director for Congressman Colin Allred’s 2024 Texas Senate Campaign where he designed and led a comprehensive political outreach and engagement strategy across the state of Texas. 

    He previously served as the Communications Director for the House Committee on Veterans’ Affairs, where he worked collaboratively with internal and external stakeholders to support the Committee’s legislative priorities. During his time in the United States Capitol Miguel worked for several high-profile principals including Congressman Mark Takano, Congresswoman Michelle Lujan Grisham (Gov. N.M.), and Congressman Xavier Becerra (Secretary, Department of Health and Human Services). 

    In addition, Miguel worked at the individual office, caucus, and committee level serving as Communications Director for the House Committee on Veterans Affairs in both the majority and minority, Communications Director for the Congressional Hispanic Caucus, National Press Secretary for the House Democratic Caucus, and Communications Director for Congressman Ruben Kihuen (NV). 

    Miguel has significant experience engaging with senior leaders, lawmakers, and staff, and working to build coalitions with key national and local organizations. He also has extensive experience in strategic planning, stakeholder management, public policy, substantial leadership training, and a track record of successful project management. 

    Miguel has worked in political campaigns in Washington, D.C., and Florida and worked in several capacities for the Woodrow Wilson International Center for Scholars, a Washington, D.C.-based public policy think tank. Miguel has also proudly served in the United States Marine Corps. 

    Miguel is a graduate of The George Washington University and holds a certificate in Crisis Management from the Yale School of Management. He is a native of San Antonio, a third generation Texan, is fluent in Spanish and currently resides in Austin, Texas with his family.     Alex most recently served as both Deputy Political Director and Faith Director for Congressman Colin Allred’s 2024 Texas Senate Campaign where he helped design and lead a comprehensive political outreach and engagement strategy across the state of Texas. 

    He previously served as Special Advisor to Houston City Controller Chris Hollins, where he authored core components of the administration’s agenda, led the integration of economic justice policies across all divisions of the Office, and helped design and train the newly established community engagement division.  Additional prior government experience includes service as Director of Special Projects at the Elections Administration of the Harris County Clerk’s Office for the pivotal 2020 federal, state, and local election cycle during a global pandemic. 

    During his time in local government, Alex has worked with government officials and elected, business, civic, and religious leaders on myriad policy issues and engagement initiatives that reflect a deep commitment to freedom, justice, and equality.  Alex has significant experience in election management, campaign strategy, policy advocacy, stakeholder engagement, coalition building, and organizational leadership development. 

     

    Alex also served as a Chapel Assistant at the Martin Luther King, Jr. International Chapel at Morehouse College, and as a Ministry Intern at Ebenezer Baptist Church, “America’s Freedom Church,” under the pastoral leadership of U.S. Senator Reverend Raphael G. Warnock. 

    Alex is a proud Morehouse College alumnus and an ordained Christian minister.  Alex currently serves as Associate Pastor at Bethel Church UCC and as a clergy team member at Wheeler Avenue Baptist Church.  A seventh generation Texan, he is native to Houston, where he currently resides.  Alex is Co-Founder, Partner, and Chief Strategy Officer of Telio Strategies, LLC. 

  • Shaun Casey served as director of the Berkley Center for Religion, Peace, and World Affairs and professor of the practice in the School of Foreign Service at Georgetown University from 2017 to 2021.  He previously was U.S. special representative for religion and global affairs and director of the U.S. Department of State’s Office of Religion and Global Affairs during the Obama Administration. 

     

    He has also served as professor of Christian ethics at Wesley Theological Seminary in Washington, DC, and held positions at the Center for American Progress and the Center for Strategic and International Studies. 

     

    He is the author of The Making of a Catholic President: Kennedy vs. Nixon 1960 (2009) and Chasing the Devil at Foggy Bottom: The Future of Religion in American Diplomacy (2023),

    Casey holds a B.A. from Abilene Christian University, MPA from Harvard Kennedy School, and M.Div. and Th.D. in religion and society from Harvard Divinity School.  He currently resides in Fairfax, VA with his family.  Casey is Senior Advisor to the Partners at Telio Strategies, LLC.
